Artist Feature: Dahlia Williams / Writing / Class of 2024

Dahlia Williams is currently a junior and is both a writer and an artist. They say that they’ve been writing and creating art for as long as they can remember, and that the “people, places, and things around [her]” inspire them the most. This piece in particular was written for somebody important to them, and was partially inspired by their experiences, but it was also greatly influenced by her own experiences and the experiences of many others who live with depression.
Dahlia says that she doesn’t go about her projects in one singular way, and they “usually just write what [they] see or think or feel” to see where it ends up taking them.
