Edie Kenzie is a current sophomore at St. Mary’s Academy. She is an artist whose art is “the simple product of practice or inspired by an everyday task or object,” and her inspiration “comes once I start the piece and forwards me through, propelling my strokes.” She loves making art, especially art that “captures character, such as portraits, hands, or damaged objects.” While some of Edie’s pieces intentionally carry messages, many others have messages created by those who see them.

Edie is grateful to the art teachers at St. Mary’s, as they have given her opportunities to learn and hone her skills. She has learned so much from them.
