Artist Feature: Tess Hoffman / Digital Collage / Class of 2022

Tess Hoffman, a current junior at St. Mary’s Academy, is an artist whose work melds old and new. Tess draws inspiration from the beauty of vintage and historical art. Her creations, in her own words, seek to transform older pieces by giving them a “modern twist." This unique perspective can be seen in Tess’s work, which features traditional sculptures of various colors overlaid with flora, fauna, and more.
Tess told Escribe Maria that she is drawn to bright, eye-catching colors and she seeks to incorporate this love of color into her art. Tess’s vibrant palette is showcased in the pieces she has submitted to Escribe Maria; her art features images in stunning and sharp colors set to striking backgrounds. By combining diverse and unexpected elements, Tess deftly weaves together engaging and lively pieces.
Tess began the collection featured here during her freshman year, for fun, and has continued to create similar pieces. We are excited to see where Tess’s artwork takes her and what she creates next!
